ARC Raiders is about to run an unusually direct game-design experiment. From October 13 through October 20, players will be able to choose a separate PvE matchmaking option where other Raiders cannot hurt them. The regular PvPvE queue remains available, and Embark is explicitly treating the new option as a temporary test rather than announcing a permanent mode.

ARC Raiders technically reached version 1.46 in September, but the real gameplay story is still Update 1.45 and what it is preparing. Embark is clearing out Cred, pausing Expeditions and pointing players north before Frozen Trail reshapes progression, adds a new map and introduces the Outpost.
