CONTROL Resonant has only just launched, but Remedy is already preparing a way to make the second playthrough stop being the last one. New Game++ is planned for October and will allow completed NG+ runs to feed into another run without throwing away accumulated progress. Photo Mode follows in November, although neither update has an exact release day yet.

The Oldest House failed to keep the weirdness indoors. CONTROL Resonant begins its worldwide digital rollout today at 14:00 UTC, sending Dylan Faden into a paranaturally distorted Manhattan and replacing much of Jesse's gun-focused combat with a shapeshifting melee weapon.

CONTROL Resonant could have been the first game with a larger map and more powers. Remedy chose the riskier route: change protagonist, leave the Oldest House and replace Jesse Faden's shooter foundation with an action RPG where Dylan has to get close enough for the monsters to hit back.
