The Keeper has somehow been promoted to Grand Inquisitor, which turns out to involve considerably more work than maintaining a suspiciously profitable cemetery. Graveyard Keeper 2 launched on September 22, bringing back the original game's automation and dark comedy while adding a ruined town to rebuild and a zombie invasion that cannot simply be put on the payroll.

Eight years after the original Graveyard Keeper, the Keeper is back on September 22 with a considerably larger job description. Cemetery management remains intact, but the sequel adds Town restoration, industrial automation, zombie warfare and a world rebuilt in 3D. The loud features are easy to spot. The more entertaining part is what Lazy Bear has quietly buried between them.

Graveyard Keeper 2 is not interested in simply giving players another cemetery to tidy up. Eight years have passed inside its world, the Town needs rebuilding, production can be pushed further into automation, and the Keeper now has an undead military problem to deal with.
Lazy Bear Games expands almost every part of its macabre management sim with automated production, a town to rebuild, zombie battles, larger progression trees and an avalanche of additional recipes. The result is richer and frequently more rewarding than the original, but its appeal still depends on a simple question: how many intermediate steps are you willing to complete just to make a plank?
